This event is made possible by the donations of the incredible Martinez community. It has grown significantly since its inception in the old cafeteria of John Swett Elementary School in 2017. The celebration moved downtown and amassed a financial deficit covered by one Martinez citizen with the hopes that the investment in a spectacular event would inevitably bring support from the community. With the support of a grant from the City of Martinez in 2023, CA-licensed pyrotechnic operators entered the scene. The rest is history.
